Meet Dr. Nahal Ashouri
Nahal Ashouri, DDS, MS
As an orthodontist, I love being able to blend art and science in creating healthy and beautiful smiles to the people who come to see me. My patients are my passion, and being in a position to improve their health and happiness through my profession is something that I’ve never taken for granted. I strive each day to use my experience and skill to make the lives of my patients better because I truly care about the people behind the smiles I treat. Practicing excellent orthodontics ultimately means caring for people, and I am committed to providing my patients nothing but the most effective and rewarding orthodontic experience imaginable.
Education and Continuing Education
I have called the University of California at San Francisco home for many years. Not only did I receive both my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science degrees from the school, but I also teach the orthodontic residents and share with them my knowledge and experience to help train them in practicing excellent orthodontics. By teaching and reviewing the most recent studies and articles in the field, I am furthering my education and staying on the cutting edge of the treatments I am able to provide for my own patients. By constantly continuing my education and staying at the forefront of orthodontic treatments and technological advancements, I can provide my patients the most rewarding benefits of excellent orthodontic care, which is something they need and deserve.

In the Community
I firmly believe it is people who are the most important in life, and I am very fortunate to meet new, wonderful people every day and create lasting relationships with them. By being involved with the following groups and organizations, I am able to give back to the people who have given my family and I so much to be thankful for:
- Rotary Club of Mountain View
- Mountain View Chamber of Commerce
- Give Kids a Smile
- Huff Elementary PTA
- Mid-Peninsula Dental Health Foundation
For the past six years, I have also made it a priority to donate my skill, time, and resources by treating under-represented patients at very little or no cost. Health and happiness should be available to those who have a hard time affording those things, and I am committed to helping them in any way I can.
At Home
My family is so incredibly important to me, and I am blessed to have such wonderful people with whom I love sharing my time outside the office. My husband and I have a beautiful daughter who is in elementary school in Mountain View.
When I can slip away from my practice for a while, I of course enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, swimming, cooking, and gardening. I am also an avid snorkeler, and I love creating art!
